Perceptual Video Assessment
For
this project, we are conducting a number of psychophysical experiments.
The experiments are designed to help find the most significant factors in video
quality assessment. How important is the detection threshold?
Masking effects? Video content? The experimental data is also being
used to develop objective measures of video quality.
Color Enhancement and Re-Rendition
We are developing a technique for color contrast
enhancement, which works in the xy chromaticity space associated with the CIE XYZ color
space. This work is also useful for simulating changes in the color of a
light source.
Color Image Filtering
Two
color filtering methods are considered under this project. The first method uses a color quaternion representation to
find the edges in a color image. The second method proposed an efficient
structure for filtering color images using the
Center of Gravity Law of Color Mixture.
